Nominate a young person so they receive the recognition they deserve
Gladstone Regional Council is asking the community to identify and recognise our region’s outstanding young residents by nominating them to attend the Mayor’s Youth Dinner.
Young people aged between 12 and 24 years will be recognised for their achievements and contributions to the community at the Mayor’s Youth Dinner, to be held on Wednesday 7 August at Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC).
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said nominations are now open until 8am, Monday 17 June.
“Nominees can be acknowledged for accomplishments across various categories including academic, sports, arts & culture and community success,” Councillor Burnett said.
“The Mayor’s Youth Dinner replaces the Mayor’s Youth Breakfast and allows an opportunity to honour and celebrate the remarkable achievements of young people in our region.
“Council’s aim is to empower our young people to give them the confidence to have their voice heard and the courage to turn their ideas into action.”
