Weed Spraying Equipment Hire
Council loans a range of spray equipment to landholders for the management of invasive pest plants within the Gladstone region. Spray equipment can be hired for a maximum of 5 consecutive days and can only be used on land within the Gladstone region.
Hirers are required to pay hire fees, a bond and submit a signed Spray Equipment Hire Agreement to Council prior to picking up the spray equipment.
Bookings must be made one working day in advance, and payment must be received before picking up the spray equipment.
Payment options available are;
- In person at any Council Office or Rural Transaction Centre during business hours;
- Credit card; or
- Cheque or money order.
To apply for your bond refund, please complete the Request for Refund of Trust Bond form.
Important:
- Council Work Place Health & Safety Policy requires closed in footwear at all times on Council premises.
- For Council Site Safety – Every person who hires any spray equipment MUST Stop and be signed in on entry, at the appointment time, to the Depots and escorted by a PMO to the spray units. Customer entering without an escort will be warned once, if repeated will be banned from hire of equipment.
- Hirers that are late for the arranged pickup or return time will be required to book another time and late fees may be applicable.
- A Daily Record of Herbicide Application form must be completed and kept by the landholder for a minimum 2 years. This can be located with the application form as page 3.
- Landholders who hire any slide on unit must supply their own tie down straps (4 x 1.5 tonne tie down straps).
