You can select the areas within the Gladstone Region where you would like to receive weather and bushfire warnings.
Council ceased SMS alerts for non-disaster level weather events to reduce the number of SMS alerts received. If you want to receive alerts for all other weather events, please subscribe to email alerts.
Follow the steps below to update your RegionWatch subscription and start receiving alerts for your preferred areas:
-
Head to RegionWatch: regionwatch.gladstone.qld.gov.au/ and click the ‘Register for Warnings’ to register or sign in to your account
-
Once you are signed in, click on the ‘Subscription’ tab on the left side. The ‘manage your subscriptions’ page will appear. In the ‘Subscription’ table at the bottom, you have the option to select locations for weather warnings and bushfire alerts
-
The first step is to ensure you have selected the types of alerts you want to receive, SMS and/or email and click on ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom left.
-
Then click on ’Select Locations’ under ‘Weather Warnings’ to select the locations for alerts
-
You will then see ALL the available locations around the region that you can choose from
-
Click on the ‘x’ within the location button to remove it if you do not wish to receive alerts for it
-
Click 'Save' and don’t forget to click 'Save Changes' to finalise all amendments to your subscription tab
-
Repeat steps 3-7 to customise your alerts and select locations for ‘Bushfire Warnings’.
