Works underway at Apex Park
Council’s 2023/24 Capital Works program continues to deliver infrastructure improvements for our region with construction of a three-tier retaining wall at Gladstone’s Apex Park now underway.
The retaining wall will replace the existing earth retaining wall structure bordering the western and northern boundaries of Apex Park.
Works will include demolition of the existing retaining wall, excavation and civil works, installation of sandstone retaining walls, installation of concrete sleeper retaining walls, drainage works, landscaping and remediation work.
Council will stage these works to minimise the impact on nearby residents and businesses, including students, parents and teachers of Star of the Sea Catholic School.
The project is expected to be completed by early June, site conditions and weather permitting.
The Apex Park Renew/Replace Retaining Wall project is proudly funded by the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program - Phase 3 and Gladstone Regional Council.
