Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy residents encouraged to conserve water
Residents of Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy are encouraged to conserve water over the next 48 hours due to a critical fault at the Agnes Water Desalination Plant.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Council is focused on repairing this damage and is calling on the community to restrict their water consumption over the coming days.
“Council is on-site and undertaking critical maintenance to ensure operations are restored as soon as practically possible,” Councillor Burnett said.
Council will provide an update tomorrow (4 May).

- Do not use garden hoses, sprinkler or automated irrigation systems
- Do not wash your car
- Do not top up pools and spas
- Do not fill up tanks or dams
