Three weeks remaining to pay rates in full and receive discount
Gladstone Regional Council is reminding ratepayers that the rates notice due date is approaching to take advantage of the discount period.
Ratepayers have until Wednesday, 26 October 2022 to pay their rates in full and be eligible to receive the 10 per cent discount on their rates and charges.
The rates notice with an issue date of 24 August 2022 includes annual availability charges for waste, water and sewer in addition to rates, water consumption and the State Government’s Emergency Management Levy.
Ratepayers are also reminded to check their rating category – if a ratepayer considers their property is their principal place of residence but has been categorised as Non-Principal Place of Residence, please visit www.gladstone.qld.gov.au/rates and click on the How to object to your rate category tab.

Council would also like to remind ratepayers of the variety of payment options available, including:
- Online: via Self Service Portal on Council’s website
- BPAY: via your financial institution
- In Person: at Council Offices or Australia Post.
- Mail: cheques or money order made payable to Gladstone Regional Council
- Direct debit: Monthly and lump sum options (please contact Council to arrange)
- Deductions: Regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. Contact Centrelink and quote Council’s Centrepay reference number 555076313K.
Council also offers Paying by Instalments with options to pay weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Applications to participate in the instalment scheme can be submitted in writing to info@gladstone.qld.gov.au
