Council reminding residents of due date for Water Consumption Notices
Gladstone Regional Council is advising residents that half-yearly Water Consumption Notices have been delivered.
The Notices are also available online for registered Online Services users.
Water Consumption Notices have an issue date of 17 February and payment is due by Friday, 19 March 2021.
Consumption charges will cover the period of water usage from July 2020 through to December 2020.
Meter reading information, including previous and current reads, is detailed on the Water Consumption Notice.
Council encourages ratepayers with an amount owing in the current financial year to apply to Council to set up an approved instalment payment plan.
The benefits of an approved instalment payment plan include:
- Council checks the proposed payment amount and frequency to ensure they are sufficient to pay the current financial year’s rates in full by 30 June
- No interest is charged while payments are being made in accordance with an approved instalment plan
- Since Council is aware that the ratepayer has committed to an approved instalment plan, no reminder or final notices are sent to any ratepayers who are on an approved instalment plan.
