Shape the future of access and inclusion by responding to draft action plan
Earlier this year Council launched a community survey to assist in the development of an Access and Inclusion Action Plan that will serve as an organisation-wide roadmap over the next three years.
Now the time has come for the community to have their say on the draft Action Plan.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said that public feedback on the Action Plan will remain open until Tuesday 21 May and is inviting residents to have their say.
“Over the next three weeks the community will be able to view the draft document and make a submission to provide their thoughts,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Council’s Conversations website is the place to go to provide feedback, with written submissions via letter or email also accepted and further details available online.
“If you have any accessibility barriers when providing feedback, we encourage you to contact Council's Community Partnerships team on 4970 0700 or by emailing info@gladstone.qld.gov.au.
“We want to ensure that this document meets the community’s expectations and effectively moves us towards becoming a more accessible and inclusive Council for everyone, so I strongly encourage people to provide feedback during this period.”
Once feedback is received, Council will be asked to endorse the final version of the Access and Inclusion Action Plan at a General Meeting in June 2024.
