Snap the Discovery Coast through your eyes and win a great prize
The Agnes Water Rural Transaction Centre (RTC) is hosting its annual amateur photography competition from now until December with a theme of ‘The Discovery Coast through my eyes’.
The competition is divided into two categories, under-18s and 18-plus, with submissions and voting conducted via Council’s online Conversations platform.
Voting will also be available at the Agnes Water RTC. Photos must be taken in Agnes Water and the surrounding areas, including Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, Captain Creek, Baffle Creek, Deepwater National Park, Eurimbula National Park, Turkey Beach, Rodds Peninsular National Park, Mount Colosseum National Park, Rosedale, Lowmead, Bororen and Miriam Vale.
Gladstone Region Councillor Natalia Muszkat said submissions are now open and will close at 11.59pm on Sunday 28 November.
“Once submissions close a voting period will open up from Monday 29 November until Sunday 12 December,” Councillor Muszkat said.
“The winners will be selected through a public vote with the winning entries each receiving a $100 gift voucher and award certificate.
"While the competition has a theme, what you decide to photograph is entirely up for interpretation provided it meets the terms and conditions of entry.
“Winning entries will be announced on Wednesday 15 December 2021.”
The Agnes Water RTC competition follows on from the Mount Larcom RTC’s annual photo competition, won by Nathan Corbett for his image The Chosen One.
