New features added to Council’s RegionWatch dashboard
Gladstone Regional Council has updated its RegionWatch dashboard to provide additional disasterrelated information and alerts.
RegionWatch is Council’s community online platform for reliable, up-to-date and vital information before and during emergencies and disasters.
Users of the platform can now view updates on water and sewer interruptions and access neighbouring councils’ dashboards, while aesthetic changes have been made to the clickable map.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett encouraged community members to not only save the RegionWatch website on their favourites list, but to also tell their friends and family about it.
“RegionWatch is fantastic resource that can be accessed year-round and not just in the warmer months when our region is more susceptible to natural disasters,” Councillor Burnett said.
“In addition to the recent updates, RegionWatch highlights road conditions, roadworks, Bureau of Meteorology weather warnings, power outages, flood cameras, school closures from the Department of Education and emergency bulletins from Council’s disaster management system.
“It’s also accessible on the go with the platform being mobile phone friendly.”
