Council reminds residents about waste services during Christmas period
Gladstone Regional Council is reminding residents about waste services during the Christmas and New Year period.
Kerbside bin collection services will occur Monday to Friday as per usual schedule during the Christmas period.
Benaraby Landfill and all Transfer Stations will be closed on Christmas Day and will operate as normal on Boxing Day and Public Holidays in December and January.
The Tip Top Shops located at the Benaraby Landfill and Gladstone Transfer Station are closed from 25 December and will reopen on 28 December.
Council is also reminding residents to avoid the temptation of illegally dumping items during the Christmas and New Year period. Residents are reminded that household waste should be correctly disposed of in either an approved Council-provided wheelie bin or at an approved Waste Facility.
Green waste is free to dispose at the Benaraby Landfill and approved Transfer Stations.
Council is asking that any resident who witnesses illegal dumping incidents to contact Council on 4970 0700 so that we can investigate.
To assist Council with our investigation, residents can submit time and date stamped photos of these alleged illegal dumping incidents to Council via www.gladstone.qld.gov.au/contact-us.
All public assistance in eradicating illegal dumping in the region assists Council in maintaining a clean and safe environment for everyone to enjoy.
