Free Grant Writing Program continues with funding from Council and Together Gladstone
Council and the Together Gladstone initiative have provided funding to ensure local businesses and community groups continue to have easier access to grants thanks to a free grant writing program.
Financial contributors of the Together Gladstone Fund include Boyne Smelters Limited, ConocoPhillips as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG, Queensland Alumina Limited, Rio Tinto Yarwun, Santos GLNG, Shell’s QGC Business and other local industries.
The free grant writing support service is delivered by NFP House and is designed to help businesses and community groups identify and apply for funding grants and administer grant funds.
To be eligible to apply for grant writing support service assistance, businesses and community groups must:
- Be located within the Gladstone Region Local Government Area
- Complete an enrolment form to register your interest, available from NFP House.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Council is proud to be involved with this initiative which has already made such a positive impact in our region so far.
“The free grant writing support service pilot project last year was certainly a success and demonstrated demand for this type of service to ensure businesses and community groups aren’t missing out on funding opportunities,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Building capacity and upskilling applicants increases the chances for organisations to successfully receive grants, which not only benefits the recipient themselves, but the broader community as well by bringing community projects to life.”
