Water Consumption Notices to be issued from this week
Council is advising residents that half-yearly water consumption notices will be delivered in the coming days. The Notices are already available for registered Online Services users.
Water Consumption Notices will have an issue date of 17 February with payment due on or before Tuesday, 19 April 2022.
Consumption charges will cover the period of water usage from June/July 2021 through to November/December 2021.
Meter reading information, including previous and current reads, will be further detailed on the Water Consumption Notice.
This year, Council is encouraging ratepayers with an amount owing in the current financial year to apply to Council to set up an approved instalment payment plan.
The benefits of an approved instalment payment plan include:
- Council checks the proposed payment amount and frequency to ensure they are sufficient to pay the current financial year’s rates in full by 30 June
- No interest is charged while payments are being made in accordance with an approved instalment plan
- Since Council is aware that the ratepayer has committed to an approved instalment plan, no reminder or final notices are sent to any ratepayers who are on an approved instalment plan.
