Get your group involved in Council’s Sport and Active Living Expo
A great opportunity exists for sport and recreational groups to be involved in Gladstone Regional Council’s upcoming Sport and Active Living Expo.
The annual Sport and Active Living Expo aims to encourage the Gladstone Region community to get involved in physical activity, healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.
The Expo will be held on Saturday, 6 February 2021 at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre.
Gladstone Region Councillor Kahn Goodluck said sporting clubs, organisations and fitness/wellness businesses are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to hold a stall at the Expo, promoting their business.
“The Sport and Active Living Expo provides sport and recreational activity groups and residents the perfect opportunity to connect and promote community participation in physical activity,” Councillor Goodluck said.
“The Expo is set to feature some of the region’s local fitness trainers, health experts, sporting clubs and much more.
“COVID-19 saw the cancellation of this year’s Expo, but the 2021 Expo will see some exciting new additions including free fitness classes and lucky door prizes.
“The cost to secure a stall is only $25, making it very affordable for sport and recreational groups to showcase what they have to offer.”
If you are involved in a sport and recreational activity group that is interested in being involved register your interest by completing the EOI form which can be found by visiting the www.gladstone.qld.gov.au/sal-expo website.
