Why microchip your pet?
- Microchipping is an essential part of responsible animal ownership. A microchip provides a simple solution to return your pet to you if your pet goes missing and protects your animal from theft.
- Microchipping your animal will reduce your pet’s annual registration fees
- Getting your animal microchipped can reduce your upcoming annual animal registration renewal fees by about $20 each year.
- Getting your animal desexed and microchipped can reduce your animal’s annual registration fees by up to $80 per year.
Please note: Microchipping your animal is mandatory in Queensland. The Queensland Government requires all animals born after April 2009 to be microchipped and their microchipping details provided to Council.
