Council stands down Place of Refuge at GECC
We've listened to community feedback about supporting local business.
Community members affected by the Lowmead area bushfires are encouraged to seek accommodation with friends/family and Council is also working with Rosedale Hotel to provide safe place for residents.
Animal Welfare
We have established an online community group to support community members with livestock and animals impacted by the Deepwater, Baffle Creek and Lowmead Fires.
This is a space where information can be shared regarding community support or for potential grants for impacted owners.
Report damages
If a bushfire damages your farm or causes losses, you can report it via the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Disaster Impact Survey.
This helps determine if additional assistance is needed to support primary producers during recovery.
Please note: This survey does not constitute an application for assistance - the purpose of this survey is to gain a better understanding of the extent of the recent disaster event affecting your area.
