Council public holiday services on National Day of Mourning
Council’s rubbish collection, landfills and waste transfer stations will operate as usual on next week’s National Day of Mourning, to honour the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The day will be observed on Thursday 22 September.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens and Gladstone Aquatic Centre would also remain open, from 10am to 4pm, for members of the public to visit.
Residents will be able to continue to access all of Council’s online services, including the GECC website.
People will continue to have opportunities to sign special condolence books for the Royal Family that have been set up throughout the region.
From Monday 19 September, they will be at the Gladstone City Library and libraries at Agnes Water, Boyne Island, Calliope, Miriam Vale and Mount Larcom until close of business on Friday 23 September.
