Council is proud to host free first aid training courses across the Gladstone Region. Don’t miss your chance to learn how to be a first responder and gain skills that could save someone's life.
The units of competency are a nationally accredited course that provides the skills and knowledge required to initiate first aid response and conduct CPR in a range of situations.
This competency covers:
- Recognition of an emergency situation
- Identify, assess and manage immediate hazards to health and safety of self and others
- Assess the casualty and recognise the need for first aid response
- Seek assistance from emergency response services where required
- Apply appropriate first aid procedures
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Theory and practical assessments will be conducted throughout the course.
On successful completion, participants receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment.

- 8.30am to 4.30pm, Tuesday 20 May - Mount Larcom Community Centre, 7 Raglan Street, Mount Larcom
- 7.30am to 4pm, Monday 9 June - Down to Earth Training, 12 Little Bramston Street, Gladstone Central.
Light lunch will be provided.
