Register for Warnings on RegionWatch
Registering for Warnings on RegionWatch is free for users and will allow Council to share emergency news, severe weather events and other public safety alerts with you. Register now and be better prepared and protected for emergencies and disasters.
To sign up please follow these instructions
- Go to http://regionwatch.gladstone.qld.gov.au/
- Click on 'Register for Warning'
- Select 'Register' along the top right-hand
- Complete the registration form and click 'sign up'
- You will then be sent an activation email, please follow the link in the email to activate your account. Activation emails may take several minutes to come through (don't forget to check your junk mailbox too).
- Sign in to your account to manage your subscriptions. You can subscribe to receive both email and SMS notifications here. Subscribing to SMS notifications will require SMS to your mobile, this may take several minutes to come through.
- This is a free service.
- Warning SMS and emails will be delivered by Gladstone Regional Council
How to manage your subscription with RegionWatch for disaster and weather event warnings
If you are receiving SMS notifications for areas other than the Gladstone Region and do not wish to receive these notifications, the steps below will assist in updating your subscription details:
- Go to RegionWatch - https://regionwatch.gladstone.qld.gov.au/
- Click on Manage Warnings (or it could read as Register for Warnings, in which case you need to log in with the details you used when you registered).
- On the Manage Your Subscription page go to 'Select Locations' under the Weather Warning title.
- Click the 'Select All' box.
- Click 'X' for the areas you do not wish to receive notifications for.
- Click 'Save'
- Click 'Save Changes' to finalise amendments to the subscription.
