Weed Spotters Workshop
Council invites members of the community to a free educational workshop to help improve weed identification skills and assist with early weed detection. 11am-1.30pm Thu 17 Oct 2024
The workshop will be presented by Phoebe French, Weed Spotters Network Coordinator at Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Biosecurity Queensland.
Topics covered during the workshop include:
- Weed ecology
- Surveillance and early detection
- Priority weed identification
- Specimen collection and reporting
- Biosecurity Act 2014
- Control methods.

Date: 11am - 1.30pm, Thursday, 17 October 2024
Venue: Function Room next to Calliope Library and Transaction Centre, 3 Don Cameron Drive, Calliope, QLD 4680.
Catering will be provided.
