Easter in Gladstone campaign launches ahead of iconic yacht race

It’s time to start planning your holiday at home with Easter in Gladstone almost here!
Easter in Gladstone is the region’s destination event with a combination of experiences available for locals and visitors to enjoy throughout the entire long weekend.
Whether it be attending the family-friendly Gladstone Harbour Festival, lining East Shores to welcome in the fleet from the Gladstone Ports Corporation 77th Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race, or attending events within the Brisbane to Gladstone (B2G) Village, there’s no shortage of things to do during Easter in Gladstone.
Easter in Gladstone kicks off on Thursday 17 April with opening night of the Gladstone Harbour Festival.
Attention then turns to the B2G Village on Good Friday (18 April) with the Yachtsman’s Long Lunch and live stream of the beginning of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race taking place.
Festivities will continue at the Gladstone Harbour Festival and B2G Village until Sunday night (20 April), with Gladstone Yacht Club also keeping people entertained.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said many Easter in Gladstone events are free of charge, offering a drawcard for the local community while also enticing visitors from far and wide.
“Experience the magic of Easter in Gladstone with harbourside celebrations centred around the iconic Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race,” Mayor Burnett said.
“There will be a fantastic range of free events and activities for families and people of all ages including favourites such as watching the excitement of the Raft Regatta, enjoy the atmosphere of the Seafood Festival and B2G Line Crossing Party, plus an exciting new offering this year with Sound Sanctuary at the Village taking place on Easter Saturday.
“Ticketed events include the Yachtsman’s Long Lunch and Harbour Cruise Brunch which are always popular and are sure to sell out.
“Easter in Gladstone is unlike any time of the year, so why not stay the long weekend and explore everything the Gladstone Region has to offer – you’ll be glad you did!”

Gladstone Harbour Festival (Thursday 17 April to Sunday 20 April)
The annual 63rd Gladstone Harbour Festival program will be jam packed with fantastic free entertainment, thrilling rides, all the fun of sideshow alley, free activities for the kids, hilarious novelty events, spectacular fireworks on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights, plus much more!
Cost: FREE entry | Location: Gladstone Marina (98 Bryan Jordan Drive).
Live Music at Gladstone Yacht Club | 3pm until late | Thursday, Saturday, Sunday (closed Good Friday) | Free entry.
77th Gladstone Ports Corporation Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race live stream (18 April)
It has never been easier to watch the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and follow the action as the yachts make their way to Gladstone. The live stream is proudly brought to you by Gladstone Regional Council. Watch the action on the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race website, Gladstone Harbour Festival food court or via Kayo Freebies. Coverage begins from 10am.
Yachtsman’s Long Lunch (18 April – 10.30am until 2.30pm)
This event has it all – amazing local seafood paired with award winning wines, keynote speakers, live music and a spectacular vantage point by the water – all while watching the race live stream.
Cost: $275pp (18+ event) | Location: B2G Village (Flinders Parade, Gladstone).
Harbour Cruise Brunch (19 April – 11.15am until 1.15pm)
Settle in for a relaxing harbour sail providing a unique vantage point of Gladstone. The morning will provide those onboard with an opportunity to gain insights into some of the major industries that call Gladstone home. Take in the scenes and enjoy a light brunch, perfect for the whole family.
Cost: $75pp (all ages) | Location: Boat ramp at Gladstone Yacht Club (1 Goondoon Street).
Seafood Festival (19 April – 10am until 5pm)
This fun family day features a variety of fresh and cooked seafood, licensed bar, live entertainment, crab races, prawn peeling competitions and activities for the kids.

Sound Sanctuary at the Village (19 April – 5pm until midnight)
The party continues into Saturday evening for more good times with friends and family! Enjoy live DJ sets from the team at Sound Sanctuary, headlined by DJ Danyon and Cam Lowry from Alpha Blokes Podcast. With drinks flowing and a breathtaking sunset backdrop, this night is set to deliver.

B2G Line Crossing Party (20 April – 2pm until midnight)
Celebrate the finish of the 77th Gladstone Ports Corporation Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. Join competitors, supporters, and the community for an epic evening of live music and vibrant energy. The iconic Hamilton Band will headline the night, with DJ Danyon spinning the beats, ensuring a nonstop party. Grab drinks at multiple bars and indulge in delicious take-away food.
