Join us at East Shores for Council’s free Australia Day Family Fun Day
Gladstone Regional Council will proudly host its free Australia Day Family Fun Day on Sunday 26 January at Gladstone Ports Corporation’s East Shores Parklands.
This year’s event returns to East Shores where attendees can enjoy a morning by the water while enjoying the talents of local musicians, get involved in the free Australia Day activities and games, or indulge in a range of food from local vendors.
There will also be a free sausage sizzle and face painting, plus the winners of Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum’s Celebrate Australia Primary School Art Competition will also be announced.
Council’s Australia Day Family Fun Day will run from 10am until 1pm on 26 January.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett encouraged residents who cannot attend the Family Fun Day at East Shores to consider attending other Council-supported events within the region.
“The Turkey Beach Progress Association will host an Australia Day breakfast at the Community Hall from 7am, Builyan Many Peaks Community Development Association will also host breakfast from 8am at the Builyan Hall, and South End Progress Association will host an event on Curtis Island,” he said.
“There will be other events taking place within the region as well, so please reach out to me via Facebook and I’ll do my best to share your event with the wider community.”
