Temporary move for Agnes Water Rural Transaction Centre
The Agnes Water Rural Transaction Centre (RTC) will undergo an internal refurbishment during November with an interim location to be established within the same complex.
Council’s Customer Solutions Team will relocate to the Agnes Water Meeting Room (above the childcare centre) from Thursday 2 November while these works take place.
The refurbished RTC is expected to reopen from Monday 27 November.
All services will be offered from the interim location, including:
- Gladstone Regional Council services
- Justice of the Peace services
- Queensland Government Agent Program (QGAP) services
- Services Australia – Centrelink Agent.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the Agnes Water Visitor Information Centre and the Agnes Water Library will remain open as normal.
“All of these services will still be located within the same complex at 71 Springs Road while refurbishment works take place,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Once complete, the Agnes Water Library will celebrate their 25th Birthday on Saturday 2 December, providing an opportunity for the community to come together.
“There will be story time and craft, a petting zoo, book sale and merchandise to giveaway with morning tea provided.
“Additionally, people who visit the newly refurbished RTC between Monday and Friday 4-8 December will be provided with a free native plant donated by Tondoon Botanic Gardens.”
