Council shows off library facilities
Representatives from the State Library Queensland Board of Directors recently visited Gladstone allowing Council to showcase our libraries and the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum (GRAGM).
The two-day visit included trips to Gladstone City Library, Calliope Library, Boyne Island Library, Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct and GRAGM.
The Board were impressed with the Story Tree installation and Seed Library on display at each library they visited.
Having the State Library Queensland Board of Directors visit our region provided a fantastic opportunity to not only show them our facilities, but to also have strategic conversations about the future direction of our library network.
State Library Queensland also fund Gladstone Regional Libraries’ First Five Forever early literacy program so their visit also provided an opportunity to thank them for their ongoing support.
