See the Tondoon Botanic Gardens in a different light at Luminous
The overwhelmingly popular art and lightshow spectacular, Luminous, is back again this month across three magical nights at Gladstone’s Tondoon Botanic Gardens.
The Gardens will light up in a kaleidoscope of colour every night from 13-15 July, with a mixture of iconic favourites and new installations set to excite and entertain people of all ages.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Luminous features impressive lighting displays, illuminated art, live music, roving entertainment, workshops, children’s activities and more.
“We are bringing back the biggest and brightest installations, plus fan favourites from previous years to make this the best Luminous yet,” Councillor Burnett said.
“There will be more than 20,000 LED lights on display that are sure to mesmerise attendees and show the beauty of Tondoon Botanic Gardens in a different light.”
Cr Burnett said this year’s Luminous will offer two different viewing experiences.
“Thursday night will be ticketed to offer an exclusive and more intimate experience with a reduced capacity of 2500 people, which has been halved since last year based off community feedback,” he said.
“There will be free entry on Friday and Saturday, with no need to pre-purchase tickets.
“A free bus will be operating on Friday and Saturday night to assist with parking, while free car parking is available at Meteors Sports Club and the industry carpark across the three nights, which is within walking distance to the Tondoon Botanic Gardens.”
