Council is inviting EOI from community organisations or government entities to lease or enter into a licence agreement for the former Miriam Vale Information Centre and former Miriam Vale library.
Gladstone Regional Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from community organisations or government entities who would like to lease or enter into a licence agreement for the former Miriam Vale Information Centre and former Miriam Vale library.
The EOI period will run for four weeks from Monday 23 January to Monday 20 February.
The purpose of the EOI is to receive proposals from interested parties for assessment against certain criteria.
This criteria will include:
- Ability to provide a community service or benefit to the local area
- Ability to maintain the facility and grounds and/or provide improvements
- Ability to pay agreed rental costs and outgoings
- Availability/timeliness to occupy buildings
- Provision of a suitable Business Plan or proposal addressing the above.
This EOI period comes after Council received several enquiries from community organisations and government entities about the vacant buildings.
The former Miriam Vale Information Centre is located at 27 Roe Street (Bruce Highway), while the former Miriam Vale library forms part of the current Council precinct located at 41 Blomfield Street with direct access to Roe Street.
