A week dedicated to celebrating and enhancing sport and active recreation within the Gladstone Region, Council is calling on sport and active recreation groups to take part and promote their organisation.

Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said organisations could get involved by hosting a ‘come and try’ session during Festival week and/or be a stallholder at the Sport and Active Living Expo.

Come and Try session
4.00pm – 5.30pm
Monday 14 October – Thursday 17 October

Council will help sport and active recreation groups promote ‘come and try sessions’ to the community. Groups can use this as an opportunity to showcase their sport or activity to potential members or players.

Sport and Active Living Expo
5pm – 7pm Friday 18 October

This event will provide a unique opportunity for sport, recreation, health and wellness groups to share information and expertise and to promote their products and services to an engaged audience. 

Groups wanting to be involved in the come and try sessions and/or to be a stallholder at the Sport and Active Living Expo are encouraged to express their interest by 5pm, 9 August 2019 by calling 4976 6300 or emailing CAS@gladstone.qld.gov.au
