Watch and learn from the best at Acoustic Guitar Spectacular – Regional Tour
The Acoustic Guitar Spectacular – Regional Tour is returning to the Gladstone Region next month for a series of performances and informative workshops.
This series of very special concerts is hosted by internationally acclaimed Brisbane guitarist Michael Fix, who will be joined by legendary Brisbane guitarist, songwriter, composer, arranger and bandleader Jamie Clark and award-winning fingerstyle guitarist and composer Jordan Brodie.
The trio will perform at Agnes Water, Boyne Island, Calliope and Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC) between 4-7 August, with workshops to be held at GECC on 6 August.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the Acoustic Guitar Spectacular – Regional Tour brings together a hand-picked group of unique and original virtuoso guitarists from across the country.
“Each guitarist is known for their ability to entertain, and each present their unique music with a view to engage and delight audiences with stories, songs, and humour – as well as some fretboard fireworks – making it a performance aimed for all people, not just guitar aficionados,” Councillor Burnett said.
“The concerts are structured so that each player will feature as solo artists, as well as performing as an ensemble, allowing plenty of opportunity for spontaneity and improvisation.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to see three talented and original stars of the global acoustic guitar scene together on the one stage.
“Tickets are only $10, including the workshops, so even the most frugal of musos can afford to attend. There are also three amazing workshops available at the GECC on Saturday 6 August from 10am.”
Workshops are free for tickets holders, but bookings are essential as numbers are limited.
