Brilliance of choreography and composition to combine at Impermanence
Returning to the stage for a national Australia tour after a sell-out Sydney world premiere, Impermanence by Sydney Dance Company will hit the stage of the GECC on 22 June.
Impermanence is a visceral and thrilling exploration of the juxtaposition of beauty and devastation featuring a new score full of emotional power from Grammy Award-winning composer Bryce Dessner.
Best known for his film scores for The Revenant and The Two Popes, Dessner was initially inspired by the tragedy of the Australian bushfires and the Notre-Dame fire in Paris.
His score is complemented by the choreography of Rafael Bonachela, who has previously worked with Dessner and the likes of Kylie Minogue and Tina Turner.
The Gladstone performance of Impermanence is one of only three Queensland shows, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to watch these vivacious dancers leap across the stage as they perform Bonachela’s work of art.
