Workman’s Beach areas to temporarily close for annual maintenance
Workman’s Beach Camp Ground and Day Use Area at Springs Road, Agnes Water will close to the public from Tuesday to Friday next week for annual maintenance work.
Gladstone Region Acting Mayor Chris Trevor said Gladstone Regional Council would carry out the scheduled work to ensure the location is in good condition to sustain continued future use.
The camp ground and day use area will be closed for maintenance, with no public access, from 7am on Tuesday, 11 June 2019 until 5pm on Friday, 14 June 2019.
“These grounds prove extremely popular attracting recreational visitors all year round, so maintenance is vital to their long-term use,” Councillor Trevor said.
Workman’s Beach Camp Ground is provided by Council and managed by Discovery Coast Ranger Services.
“Signage advising of the temporary closure has been installed in the area and Council looks forward to re-opening these areas to the public after general works are completed,” Cr Trevor said.
