Chance for children to write a letter to Santa and receive a personal reply
Children of the Gladstone Region have an opportunity to pen a letter to Santa and receive a personal reply from the jolly man in red.
Children can write a letter to Santa between now and 13 December, post it at a specially designed mailbox located at any of the six Gladstone Regional Libraries and receive a reply in return.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett is encouraging children to pick up a pen and paper and write a letter to Santa.
“I certainly hope all kids living in the Gladstone Region have been on their best behaviour this year,” Councillor Burnett said.
“I’ve spoken to Santa and he told me his elves have been keeping watch on his behalf.
“I doubt there will be any lumps of coal in stockings this year, but Santa told me he did spot some large piles of coal when flying over Gladstone on his sleigh last year, so he knows where to find it if needed.”
Children can drop off their letter to Santa at the following libraries:
- Agnes Water Library
- Boyne Island Library
- Calliope Library
- Gladstone City Library
- Miriam Vale Library
- Mount Larcom Library.
