Looking for Air Beats tickets? Then you’ll be in luck on Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th might be unlucky for some, but for those thinking about attending the upcoming Air Beats Open Air Concert featuring Sheppard, luck is on your side.
While the annual Black Friday sales are still two weeks away, if you log on to the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC) website tomorrow only (Friday, 13 November), you’ll score more than black cats, upside down horseshoes, broken mirrors or eightballs.
In fact, you’ll score 30 percent off the price of Air Beats beat boxes in the Gold and Silver categories when you enter code word AIRBEATS30 when purchasing a beat box.
Air Beats, an exciting all-ages open-air concert proudly presented by Gladstone Regional Council, will rock Gladstone’s Blain Park over two nights on Friday and Saturday 20-21 November.
Both nights will run from 6pm-11pm with prices starting from $91 per beat box (when purchased on 13 November), up to $200 per beat box, depending on location.
In a Queensland first, Air Beats will provide specially designed beat boxes for social groups or families up to five people, providing an exclusive party space all while being socially distant from other concert attendees.
Air Beats will be headlined by ARIA Award winning band Sheppard, who will play their first full-length show since February and who recently rocked the Gabba as the halftime entertainment at the AFL Grand Final.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Air Beats would feature several other Queensland-based acts including Gladstone’s own Hayley Marsten.
“Chris Bax Trio, Jason O’Hara, Nathan Bedford, Jack & Jacinta, Smiley n Wayno Duo, Thomo and Wal Duo and Chris Schofield will also perform, as will Sophie Durbidge who will be mixing it on the Red Bull DJ Deck prior to the opening act taking the stage,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Sheppard will play on both nights with Hayley Marsten performing on the Saturday, while Pinky from Triple M Central Queensland will MC on both nights.
“Air Beats is a fantastic concept and a unique one, so it’s a privilege that Gladstone Regional Council is able to support the recovery of the entertainment industry via Air Beats, Queensland’s first socially distanced concert.
“The whole event is COVID Safe, built from the ground up, so you don’t need to worry about keeping your 1.5m because we’ve done it for you.”
No tickets will be available to purchase at the event and concert goers are asked not to attend if they have returned from overseas or a COVID-19 hotspot, have cold or flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 health emergency, conditions surrounding this event are subject to change.
