Mayor welcomes major hydrogen equipment manufacturing facility announcement for Gladstone
Mayor Matt Burnett today welcomed the Queensland Premier’s announcement for a major green energy manufacturing centre to be constructed in Gladstone, in partnership with Fortescue Future Industries.
The facility will be one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electrolysers which are vital to the production of renewable hydrogen.
Mayor Matt Burnett thanked both the Queensland Government and Andrew Forrest for their significant investment in the Gladstone Region.
“Gladstone Regional Council has been advocating for economic growth and diversification and Gladstone is on the path to become the green energy manufacturing epicentre for Australia,” Councillor Burnett said.
FFI is progressing plans to build a facility within the Gladstone State Development Area at Aldoga.
