Upskill at volunteer workshop
Gladstone Regional Council invites local volunteer groups and organisations to attend a free workshop, Volunteer Recruitment and Management in the 21st Century on Wednesday 12 May at 6pm.
The workshop, facilitated by Julie Pettett, General Manager of Integreat Queensland Inc and Chairperson of the National Network of Volunteer Resource Centres, aims to assist attendees with volunteer recruitment, retention and management.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said upskilling and supporting our volunteer groups and organisations is vital for our community’s prosperity.
“Volunteers play such vital roles in our community, without them many not for profit groups, sporting clubs and services would not exist,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Council is proud of our Region’s volunteers, we understand that many have jobs, families and other commitments in addition to their roles of volunteers.”
The workshop will be held at the Community Engagement Centre, 142 Goondoon Street Gladstone, on Wednesday 12 May from 6pm-7pm.
