Sewer main renewal works will occur in stages in various locations across the region.
Works are part of a multi-year Capital Works project to renew sewer main assets in areas of Boyne Island, Calliope, Gladstone and Tannum Sands to improve network reliability, operational efficiency and reduce ongoing maintenance costs. - Commencing

This project will involve sewer cleaning, relining and junction sealing.
Sewer services are not expected to be affected by these renewal works however this method of pipeline rehabilitation may produce minor noise disturbances, additional traffic, and possibly odour for short periods.
Access to properties will only be required when entry is necessary to access Council’s sewer main assets, complete the works, or for service junction repair and connection to the new sewer pipe. Entry to properties will be made in accordance with Part 2, Section 144 of Local Government Act 2009.

Above dates are a guide only. Due to the nature of construction projects and unforeseen delays, works may vary.
What to expect
- Works between 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday and 6.30am to 5pm on Saturday, weather permitting.
- Council Contractors will carry identification.
- Access if required only to external areas of property, including backyards.
- Please ensure clear access to any sewer main access points on your property.
Residents will receive further access notification from the Contractor closer to works. Please relocate/restrain any animals and enable access through any gates during this timeframe.
