Council undertook a month-long community consultation for the Land Management Plan to allow the Mount Larcom Show Society to lease Lot 1 SP 183256. Consultation closed Friday 22 December 2023
Interested residents were invited to examine a draft Land Management Plan (LMP) for Lot 1 SP 183256 at 52 Popenia Road Mount Larcom, prepared by Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) for the Department of Resources (DoR).
The Mount Larcom Show Society leases Lot 12 DS 233 and wants to lease this land to expand the National Chainsaw Championship competitor camping area and extend the Equestrian Centre.
As trustee, Council submitted a draft LMP to the department and received in principle support. We undertook a month-long community consultation for this plan.
The consultation period ran for four weeks from Friday 24 November 2023 to Friday 22 December 2023.
