A SafeST investigation was undertaken in the area by Transport and Main Roads to determine the infrastructure improvements required to improve safety for students.
Work involves installation of a new ramp and footpath connecting the top of the Pittsbay Crescent gate ramp to the left side road reserve of Pittsbay Crescent. Approximately 70m of new footpath has been constructed south of the school towards Beltana Drive to link to existing path within Malpas Park.
This project supports Council’s Pedestrian and Cycle Strategy, providing cyclists and pedestrians with a safe and dedicated pathway, reducing the need to share the roadway with motorists.
