Work will be scheduled, where practical, to allow patrons to continue using the facility, however at times, access restrictions to specific areas of the golf course will apply. If on-site, please be safety conscious and follow signage and directions. 

The project will involve upgrade of the Calliope District Golf Club irrigation system and soil remediation, while maintaining access for golf members to about 15 holes while work proceeds. 

During these works, overall water supply to the Calliope District Golf Club irrigation systems will be maintained until the new irrigation system becomes operational. 

Planned works - key dates
This extensive project is planned to be delivered in 11 stages through until about May 2025.

Works forecast, weather permitting:

Project works are currently ahead of schedule and works have progressed well through Stages 5, 6 and 7.

Contractors will break over Christmas with all holes being left open for play from 20 December 2024 to 6 January 2025.

Planned work, recommencing 7 January 2025:

• Stage 8 works - Jan-Feb (Hole 8)
  • Closure of Hole 8
  • Main and lateral irrigation lines installed
  • Soil remediation on Hole 8
  • Hole 9 will remain open until a later date
• Stage 9 works - Jan-March (Holes 13 & 14)
  • Closure of Holes 13 & 14 on 10 and 14 January respectively
  • Main and lateral irrigation lines installed
  • Soil remediation and swale drain works

What To Expect 

• Works will occur six days/week from 6am-6pm Monday to Friday and from 6am-3pm on Saturdays.  
• Adjustable works program to maximise patrons use of the facility.  
• Some vibration, dust and machinery noise associated with work.  
• At times, access restrictions to specific areas.  
• Please observe signage and directions during works.
