Our teams are working closely with Ergon to reopen the centre in the coming days, weather permitting.

While this work occurs, the Gladstone Aquatic Centre must be fully closed from 17 to 25 December to keep our patrons safe. 

We’re working to return the centre for patron use, as soon as we can and will only reopen the facility when a safe, operational standard can be achieved.

Further works will then be needed to address this broader electrical issue, and delivery of this additional remediation work will take time. 

We’ll advise of any disruptions prior to further scheduled works.

Council apologises for this unexpected closure and appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while works are underway.
