Please be advised that various Council locations will be closed for the Gladstone Show Public Holiday. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday 12 August 2025. Note: Gladstone Show held in July.
GRC offices, Rural Transaction Centres, Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, Gladstone Regional Libraries, Gladstone Community and Neighbourhood Centre and Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC) (including Box Office) will be closed Monday 11 August, reopening on Tuesday 12 August.
Tondoon Botanic Gardens, Benaraby Landfill and waste transfer stations will remain open. Bin collection will take place as per a normal Monday.
Residents will still be able to access all of Council’s online services, including the GECC website.
Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday 12 August 2025.

The Gladstone Region Public Holiday aligns with the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka). The Queensland Government has a gazetted list of show holiday dates with many Local Government Areas surrounding the Gladstone Region also recognising the Royal Queensland Show as their show holiday date.
