Request for Service: Not-For-Profit Groups
Gladstone Regional Council are calling on local NFP groups (sporting clubs, rotary groups, charitable organisations) to be involved in the annual Australia Day Family Fun Day and run a sausage sizzle for the community. The group are required to supply their own setup, including BBQ, cooking equipment, food and drinks stock, and marquee. All proceeds made on the day, will be collected by and go straight back to the community group.
The Australia Day event will be located at Gladstone Ports Corporation, East Shores Parklands from 10am – 1pm on Sunday, 26 January 2025. The free community event is an opportunity to celebrate contemporary Australia, acknowledge our history and honour the diverse culture in our region. The event will feature the talents of the local musicians, a sausage sizzle, face painting, games and activities for the whole family.
Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Local/Regional Connection
- How will the proceeds be utilised?
- Previously attended GRC community event, with favourable feedback
- Ability to supply own power.
- Ability to supply their own setup to successfully run a sausage sizzle at the event.
- Use of environmentally sustainable packaging.
The NFP Group must comply with all food safety regulations, have a current GRC food licence (see application form), current public liability Insurance for a minimum of 20 million, and be available to trade from 10am – 1pm.

Where: Gladstone Ports Corporation, East Shores Parklands.

Applications must be received by cob Monday 9 December, 2024 to be considered.
All applicants will be contacted by Friday 13 December, 2024 close of business.
Submission of an application does not automatically guarantee a site at this community event.
