Plan a week to remember as Festival of Summer tickets go on sale
It is that time of year again when thoughts turn to the long, lazy days of summer, especially for young people with school holidays coming up.
And this year there will be another wave of summer’s hottest events for them to enjoy.
Gladstone Regional Council is proud to again present Festival of Summer from 8-12 January 2024 to keep our region’s youth busy and entertained, while supporting local businesses at the same time.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said tickets are now on sale.
“Festival of Summer is a week of sun, fun and adventure for 11-to-17-year-olds, with activities ranging from beach days at Agnes Water and 1770, a Lady Musgrave Island day tour, workshops on clay, candle making, video production and content creation, aerial and trapeze, makeup and modelling, adrenaline activities and so much more,” Councillor Burnett said.
“It all wraps up with the Sounds Music Festival at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre on Friday 12 January.”
Cr Burnett said Sounds Music Festival is a vibrant event designed especially for the next generation of music fans, aged 13 to 17 years.
“The Sounds Music Festival will offer a secure and budget-friendly music festival experience, tailormade for our youth to create lasting memories of a great summer holiday,” he said.
“Featuring festival food and good vibes, this live music event will finish off what I am sure will be a fantastic week.”
