Strategic Priorities for 2023/24 are released
Council recently has released its Strategic Priorities for 2023/24 to raise awareness and advocate for our region’s needs.
The publication (available online) details a clear and concise set of regional priorities and calls on investment from Australian and Queensland governments, including the opposition, plus key stakeholders, industry, and investors.
Each of the priorities are grouped under ‘Enabling Prosperity’ or ‘Enabling Infrastructure’ and complement and/or enable the investment priorities highlighted in the Gladstone Region Investment Prospectus.
Enabling Prosperity Strategic Priorities include Renewable Energy and the Transitioning Economy, Health, Housing, Skills Development and Retention, Regional Water Supply and Wastewater Infrastructure and Establishing the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Base North – Port of Gladstone.
Enabling Infrastructure Strategic Priorities include Gladstone Heavy Vehicle and Oversize Overmass Load Transport Corridor, Inland Rail Extension to the Port of Gladstone, Boyne Tannum Aquatic Recreation Centre (BTARC), Harvey Road Sports and Events Precinct and Harbour Arbour.
