How to apply for Council’s 2023 Apprenticeship and Traineeship Program
Gladstone Regional Council will soon be accepting applications through its 2023 Apprenticeships and Traineeship Program.
There are 18 exciting opportunities across a variety of Council locations.
Positions available for Gladstone Regional Council’s 2023 intake include:
- Business Administration Trainees (x11)
- Parks and Gardens Apprentices (x2) – one position available at Seventeen Seventy
- Events Trainee
- Waste Management Trainee
- Apprentice Plumber
- ICT Trainee
- Theatre Technician Trainee.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the opportunities will provide on-the-job training and develop employability skills, knowledge and experience.
“The program supports a variety of roles including plumbing, waste, events, admin, ICT and more,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Our training opportunities consist of a mix of hands-on practical work, learning from experienced leaders, and classroom education in the vocational area to develop theoretical knowledge.”
Applications open at noon on Monday 29 August and close at noon on Friday, 16 September 2022.
Successful candidates can expect to commence work with Gladstone Regional Council in February 2023.
