Call to update details in Council’s free Community Services Directory
New not-for-profit sporting clubs, organisations and recreation groups in the Gladstone Region are invited to provide details for inclusion in GRC's free 2019/20 Community Services Directory.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said Council was seeking information for inclusion in the annual directory by next Wednesday (26 June 2019).
The popular directory details and lists a service overview and contact details for a broad range of general community services, special interest, sporting and recreation groups, including health and support services for all ages.
“Council is also urging existing groups in the region to check that their contact details in the directory remain current,” Councillor Burnett said.
Listings can be reviewed in the Community Services Directory and changes made online at www.gladstonecommunitydirectory.com.au/ or assistance can be provided by calling Council’s Community Engagement Centre on 4976 6300.
“To ensure accuracy of club/service details, Council is asking groups listed in the directory to review their information as soon as possible,” Cr Burnett said.
“The directory is published each year by Council electronically and in booklet form.
“The Community Services Directory is a popular and valuable source of information for Gladstone Region residents and visitors and details are promoted at no cost to groups as a free service provided by Council.”
Cr Burnett said groups were encouraged to keep their details up to date online throughout the year.
“Ensuring listings contain current contact information will enable residents to access accurate details about organisations and make it easy for correct information to be published the following year,” he said.
"The directory has become a well-used resource and Council is pleased to be able to help the not-for-profit, community and service sectors within the region freely promote their individual organisations, clubs and groups."
