Council seeking Expressions of Interest for social enterprise mobile food vendor to operate at Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct
Council is seeking EOI from social enterprise mobile food vendors to provide coffee, tea, non-alcoholic drinks and healthy light meal options at the Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct.
The successful proponent must:
- Be available for an initial term of 12 months
- Operate six days per week, between the hours of 7am-2pm Monday to Saturday (excluding Christmas Day, Good Friday and Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct closures due to safety/weather)
- Hold a current food licence
- Align with the Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct’s key values of wellbeing, learning and connection.
Expressions of Interest must be lodged no later than 2pm on Monday, 12 July 2021. The EOI must be lodged electronically by emailing cas@gladstone.qld.gov.au – no EOI received by post, delivery, facsimile or email (other than to the email listed above) will be considered.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the successful social enterprise mobile food vendor must align with the values of the Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct.
“The Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct has been designed to strengthen Gladstone’s community and social service system by the clustering of community facilities to improve and enhance service delivery and community outcomes,” Councillor Burnett said.
“Council is looking for a business that exists to benefit the public and community, who are led by an economic, social, cultural or environmental mission and who can provide training and skills development.
“If you think your mobile food service fits that description and can also meet the related terms and conditions, then you are encouraged to submit an EOI for this unique opportunity.”
The successful proponent will also be asked to submit an Application to Undertake Commercial Activities on Council land, undergo the standard assessment process by Council’s Environmental Health team and comply with Terms and Conditions.
