Council operating hours during the Christmas and New Year period

Gladstone Regional Council is advising residents of its venue and facility operating hours during the Christmas and New year period.

Council’s Administration Offices will close at 5pm on Thursday, 24 December and reopen on Monday, 4 January 2021
Depots will also close on 24 December and reopen on 4 January, as per normal hours
Phone enquiries will be taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on (07) 4970 0700
The Agnes Water Rural Transaction Centre and Boyne Tannum Community Centre will close at 4.30pm on 24 December and will resume normal hours on 4 January
Mount Larcom Rural Transaction Centre – including Mount Larcom Post Office – will close at 5pm on 24 December and resume normal hours on 4 January.

Benaraby Landfill will run on normal hours except on Christmas Day, when it will operate 8.30am to 3pm
Transfer Stations will also run on normal hours except for Christmas Day (closed)
Bin collection will still take place on all public holidays including Christmas Day.

The Gladstone, Boyne Island, Calliope, Miriam Vale, Mount Larcom and Agnes Water libraries will close at 5pm on 24 December and resume normal hours on 4 January
Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum will also close at 5pm on December 24 and resume normal hours on 4 January
Council’s Animal Pound Facility will close at 5pm on 24 December and resume its appointment-only process from 4 January
Tondoon Botanic Gardens is open every day (except Christmas Day) 7am-6pm
Council’s Cemeteries will be available for vehicle and/or pedestrian access (depending on facility) throughout the Christmas and New Year period. The gates to Port Curtis, Calliope and Boyne Tannum Memorial Parklands will be open to vehicles and pedestrians between 8am-6pm on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
Funeral services will be unavailable on 25-26 December, 28-29 December and 1 January
Gladstone Neighbourhood Centre (105 Toolooa Street) will close at 5pm on 24 December and resume normal hours on 4 January
Community Engagement Centre (142 Goondoon Street) will close at 5pm on 24 December and resume normal hours on 4 January
Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (venue and Box Office) will closed at 4.30pm on Friday, 18 December and reopen at 8.30am on January 4. Bookings to events can still be made via www.gladstoneentertainment.com
