Exciting opportunities await as Expression of Interest period opens for Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct
GRC and partners are seeking EOI from community service organisations and local community groups who would like tenancy within the Philip Street
Communities and Families Precinct.
Suitable organisations and community groups who can deliver services, programs and activities from the Precinct are encouraged to submit an EOI.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said suitable applications would support the Precinct’s vision to provide a vibrant and evolving space that supports and enhances community wellbeing.
“Successful applicants would also be required to display a passion for collaboration, the ability to create opportunities to improve community physical and mental wellbeing, promote lifelong learning and to encourage a sense of connectedness,” Councillor Burnett said.
“This is a unique opportunity for service providers and community groups to join in on a true partnership model where all tenants will be supported to plan, deliver and review together.”
Council and partners are seeking applications from community service organisations and local community groups with a special interest in:
- Child and family support
- Mental health support
- Allied health
- General welfare support services
- Disability services
- Drugs and alcohol support
- Multicultural support services
- Government support services
- Digital health services/access (telehealth)
- Hobby groups.
If you meet the criteria and are interested in operating from the Precinct, please download an Expression of Interest form from https://conversations.gladstone.qld.gov.au. Click on the Philip Street Communities Prcinct tile and click on the 'Expressions of Interest – Service Providers' link.
Expressions of Interest will close at 5pm on Saturday, 23 January 2021. Completed EOI forms can be emailed to info@gladstone.qld.gov.au.
Paper copies of the EOI can be dropped off at Council’s Community Engagement Centre, 142 Goondoon Street, Gladstone.
Expressions of Interest will be used to gauge the level of interest and to see how services, programs and activities align with the gap analysis for the region. This expression of interest does not commit any partner.
Cr Burnett said the EOI period comes as the Precinct reaches another construction milestone.
“Work on the in-ground services milestone is expected to wrap up in the coming days,” he said.
“This work involved the installation of power, telecommunications, stormwater and sewer infrastructure and was undertaken using a range of excavation equipment including excavators, bobcats and rollers.”
