All things Rugby rule this weekend
While all Rugby fans’ eyes may be on the Wallabies when they take on Wales at the 2019 World Cup in Tokyo this weekend, Gladstone’s Marley Brown Oval will be the centre of local attention for the NRC
On Saturday from 1pm, spectators will be able to see young local talent from Gladstone Rugby Union Football Club (GRUFC), Frenchville and Brothers in action in preliminary matches, before some of Queensland Rugby’s best up and coming players go head to head for the Andy Purcell Cup at 4pm on the main oval. Current team line-up listed below.
This week marks Round Five of the 2019 National Rugby Championship with Bond University Queensland Country hosting Brisbane City in the annual all Queensland NRC derby.
All canteen and bar proceeds will go back to local sporting clubs in the Gladstone Region.
Grandstand tickets ($20) and General Admission ($15) are available from www.gladstoneentertainment.com/nrc-union-game/ or can be purchased at the gate with EFTPOS available.
Gates will open at 12.30pm with local preliminary games from 1pm.
