87.8 per cent dwellings are occupied in New Auckland compared with 85 per cent in the Gladstone Region.
The proportion of occupied dwellings fluctuated over time, with a 10.3 per cent reduction in occupied dwellings between 2011 and 2016. Between 2016 and 2021 the proportion of occupied dwellings increased by 6.6 per cent. Most of the housing in the New Auckland is separate houses at 79.5 per cent which is 6.8 per cent higher than the Gladstone Region.
